The son of a third-generation chocolate maker from Kobe, Japan,
some of my earliest memories are of tagging along after my
grandfather on Saturday morning inspections of his factory. I still
remember watching mesmerized as he magically transformed
swirling oceans of chocolate into delicate handmade truffles and
bonbons.

While always impressed with the extensive technical knowledge
and ability that chocolate making demands, it was only once I got
older that I came to realize that for my grandfather, chocolate
making was more than just a craft. It was an art.

For the master chocolatier—defined by passion, love, integrity,
and the pursuit of beauty and originality—the art of chocolate is
the art of life. Cocoaroma is dedicated to those who strive for
this ideal and to the chocolate connoisseurs who understand and
appreciate their creations.
